From March 8 to March 9, 2025, the Hearts For Huế Foundation hosted a visit for 20 members of DOVE FUND (USA) to review the projects the organization has supported in Huế over the years.
The visit began with a working session at the Oncology Center of Huế Central Hospital to evaluate the impact of a cancer screening program for Agent Orange victims in A Lưới District. This program, successfully implemented in 2024 through a collaboration between the Hearts For Huế Foundation and the Oncology Center, provided screenings for over 1,500 people. Given the positive outcomes, plans to expand the program to other districts are currently under review and will be submitted to DOVE FUND for approval later this year. Following this, the delegation visited the play area for pediatric cancer patients at the Oncology Center and distributed heartfelt gifts. The joy on the children’s faces was evident as they received their favorite presents from DOVE FUND members.

In the afternoon, the delegation visited an eye care program for students in Hương Trà Town. They received a report on the program’s progress, which has provided free eyeglasses to 600 students, and observed the vision screening and glasses distribution process conducted by Long Hoàng Thành Eyewear Company.
On March 9, 2025, the delegation continued their visit to the City Social Protection Center, which provides care for over 500 psychiatric patients. The Center’s management organized a ceremony to celebrate the 25th anniversary of DOVE FUND and guided the delegation on a tour of various income-generating projects, including mushroom cultivation, poultry and goat farming, and organic vegetable production—initiatives that DOVE FUND has supported since 2014.

To conclude the visit, the DOVE FUND delegation met with local farmers participating in a microcredit program for fish and pig farming. This initiative has provided essential financial support, helping many families improve their livelihoods in recent years.
