Since July 2023, under the sponsorship of the PiCCA (Australia), Hearts for Hue, in collaboration with Quang Nham People’s Committee, has been implementing the project “The goat raising program for the families affected by Agent Orange in Quang Nham, A Luoi district, Thua Thien Hue province, Vietnam” to support 60 AO households.
Up to now, several activities have been carried out including training courses, goat distribution, vaccination and veterinary medicine provision, the Goat Raising Club meetings, etc.

In the first phase of the project, 35 nanny goats were distributed to the first 35 households. Unfortunately, three nanny goats had died due to the harsh weather during the winter in A Luoi district.
Besides, the good news is that 19 out of them have given birth to 25 baby goats, so another 16 families have received those first-born goats. In the near future, when the other baby goats reach 12kg, they will be given to the remaining 9 families.
