Within the framework of the program “IMPROVEMENT OF THE HANDWASHING STATIONS AND PERSONAL HYGIENE PRACTICES FOR THE PUPILS AT PRIMARY AND SECONDARY SCHOOLS IN QUANG DIEN AND HUONG TRA DISTRICT, THUA THIEN HUE PROVINCE, VIETNAM”, sponsored by D.O.V.E Fund, on the 08th September, 2023, Hearts for Hue in collaboration with Quang Dien Department of Education and Training, organized a training on personal hygiene practices (ToT) for the local teachers at primary and secondary schools in Quang Dien and Huong Tra.
The training place with the attendance of representatives from Quang Dien Department of Education and Training, and 24 local schools was under the guidance of Dr. Dao Nguyen Dieu Trang from Hue University of Medical and Pharmacy.
In the training, Dr. Dao Nguyen Dieu Trang discussed the following issues:
- How to detect, prevent, and treat the acute respiratory infections
- How to detect and take care of children having hand, foot and mouth disease
- Handwashing steps using the WHO technique
- Guidance on wearing facemasks.
As plan, after participating in the training, the teachers will train for their students on personal hygiene under the support of Dr. Dao Nguyen Dieu Trang in the near future.
