From March 18 to 19, 2024, Hearts for Hue warmly welcomed 14 members of the Loving Work Foundation to come back and support two poor households in Huong Van ward, Huong Tra town, Thua Thien Hue province. Besides assisting with the construction, they also distributed blankets and towels to both families.
On the first day, the group helped Ms. Ho Thi Ve to repair her house, including tiling the house, making a concrete yard, building a fence, replacing doors and windows, and planting flowers.
Ms. Ve, 73 years old, is a poor householder in the commune. She lives alone with no husband or children and only relies on the neighborhood’s support.
The next day, the Loving Work Foundation came to Mr. Tran Ba Phung’s house. The house was built a long time ago under the sponsorship of the government. However, it has been significantly degraded. Therefore, the group supported the household to build a toilet and replace the roof of the house.
Mr. Phung and his wife, Mrs. Bay, both have physical disabilities. Mr. Phung had an injury to his spine due to a bad accident, which led to leg impairment. Moreover, both legs of Mrs. Bay were severely affected by a bomb explosion when she was 10, preventing her from walking normally. Consequently, they do not have any jobs and only depend on the money supported by the government monthly.
With this two-day program, the Loving Found Foundation not only helped the families improve their living conditions but also brought hope and happiness to them.
