Within the framework of the project “Goat Raising Project For Families Affected By Agent Orange In Quang Nham Commune, Vietnam” sponsored by PiCCA, on September 23rd, 2023, the third training course on Goat Raising Club Establishment was organized for AO families.
The training course, carried out by Prof Nguyen Xuan Ba, was on establishing Goat Raising Club for all participants as well as for the local management board and the members of the Quang Nham communities with the following contents:
– The importance of establishing the Goat Raising Club
– The club’s activities and regulations: including the criteria to select club members, the related-legal procedures, etc.
– How the group leaders could organize month meeting for the club
Particularly, Hearts for Hue in collaboration with The People’s Committee of Quang Nham commune also organized the distribution of 8 nanny goat (phase 3) to 8 AO households of the project. Totally, 30 goats were distributed to 30 families throughout 3 phases.
Update on the program:
– The total goats were distributed : 30 goats
– The total baby goats delivered: 7 baby goats. These baby goats will be transferred to other families in next months.
