Providing school supplies for children affected by flood

Due to the storms and flood disaster, Hearts for Hue have worked with management boards of primary and secondary school partners where Hearts for Hue cooperated with Universities from Hong Kong, Singapore and Australia to implement community service programs to get to know the overview about disaster damages to these schools especially student school books. The survey showed that:

– Most students live in low areas and their houses were submerged into flood water. Therefore, their school books/ notebooks and other school materials were soggy and even were sweep away.

– Teachers and parents of all students would like to be provided new school books/ notebooks so that students can come back to school

The fund-raising activity to support school books for underprivileged children has been held and we are very pleased to receive the donation for 1700 students with the total fund of 370.423.073 dvn from Hearts for Hue sponsor networks.

Thanks to the support from The DOVE Fund, VESAF and the international individual donors, we have helped 18 primary schools. As of this moment, Hearts for Hue have delivered:

– 720 sets of school books

– 17.000 notebooks

– 1.500 pencil cases

– 2.800 pens

– 1.500 rulers

– 1.250 pencils

On behalf of teachers and students, Hearts for Hue wholeheartedly appreciate the great contributions from the DOVE Fund,  VESAF, the international and domestic individual donors who sponsor for program.
