From 8th to 11th July 2016, Hearts for Hue in collaboration with The Bamboo Project successfully organized volunteering project in Vinh Phu Secondary School in Truong Ha village, Vinh Phu commune, Phu Vang district.
In only 3 days, 27 volunteers from UK and 3 Bamboo staff, with the support of H4H volunteers, repainted all windows, doors and staircases. They also did the mural painting, built mobile libraries and football goals. Those works will not only improve the school’s image but also create an interesting learning environment for students with more extra activities.
In addition, with the help of H4H volunteers, the volunteers from England also teach English to students through interesting games and songs.
This method had inspired the local students to learn English. After days of working and teaching, the volunteers and students shared great moments at Minh Thanh beach. This would become an unforgetable memory for everyone.
In summary, the July Real Gap Experience was a fantastic three days which greatly improved Vinh Phu Secondary School Hearts for Hue would like to thank the Bamboo team, the local government, the schools staff and students and especially the Bamboo volunteers who spend their vacation to help other people.
