The VESAF scholarship program has partnered with Hearts for Hue since 2018, providing scholarships to students who are hardworking and conscientious, of good conduct, and coming from disadvantaged families or confronting financial and medical difficulties.
Ngo Phi Tin, a recipient of the VESAF scholarship, has recently graduated from Vietnam-Korea University of Information and Communication Technology with good standing.
Tin, a hardworking young man, was born in 2001 in Da Nang. He is one of family of seven who live in a poor household in Hoa Hai ward, Ngu Hanh Son district. With his father not having a stable job and his mother working as a seller at a local market, he and his younger sister and brother have faced a lot of difficulties in pursuing their studies. Fortunately, with the support of a VESAF scholarship from 2021 to 2023, Tin was able to continue his higher education and ease the financial burden for his parents.
In a letter expressing his gratitude, Tin shared that the VESAF scholarship enabled him to pay tuition both for himself and his younger sister, who is studying to become a doctor at Da Nang University of Medical Technology and Pharmacy. Tin wrote, “I was able to reduce the time spent at my part-time job to focus on my studies. The support from the scholarship is not only materially meaningful but also a great source of spiritual encouragement, motivating me in my learning process.”
Since graduating from university, Tin has found a job and now works as an apprentice. He hopes that in the future, he can inspire others just as he was motivated.
On behalf of all students receiving the VESAF scholarship, Hearts for Hue would like to express our deep gratitude to VESAF, NFP for supporting our community.
