On 26th February 2019, Hearts For Hue is very proud to be a partner of VESAF,NFP in collaboration with Hue University organized the VESAF scholarship distribution (stage 1) for 20 underprivileged students who are studying in all the branches of Hue University in the school year 2018 – 2019. For those who participated in the ceremony including Mrs. Do Thi Xuan Dung, PhD – Vice Director of Hue University, Mr. Truong Trong Khanh – Chairman of Hearts For Hue and Representative of VESAF, NFP in Vietnam, along with 20 students of Hue University.
In the ceremony, Mrs. Do Thi Xuan Dung emphasized that each scholarship is a significant present for the disadvantaged students which assists students to overcome the obstacles in their lives and toward a better future. On behalf of the Hue University, Mrs. Dung really appreciates the VESAF for their contribution to Hue University’s students.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Thai – a student of College of Economics shared: “I am very proud and happy to be a VESAF scholarship recipient. Words are certainly not enough to express my gratitude to the donors. The other scholarship recipients and I promise to keep studying well and gaining a good academic achievement in the next school year”
The VESAF Scholarship Program 2018 – 2019 sponsored 32 students who are qualify with the following criteria: Good and laborious students (a), good conduct (b), coming from disadvantaged families or confronting financial and medical difficulties (c), and are residing in Thua Thien Hue or coming from Quang Nam province (d). The value of each scholarship is 300 USD per school year and more importantly, students will be considered to continue to receive the scholarships for next year based on their academic achievement. The total amount of the VESAF scholarship program in 2018-2019 is 9,600 USD.
The VESAF, NFP is a non -profit organization with the main mission of providing educational and social assistance to impoverished communities in Vietnam. The organization was established in the State of Illinois on 24th October 2014 and was issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam with the working permit No. 416 / CNV-HD dated on 8th February 2018.
