On July 27th, 2024, Hearts For Hue collaborated with professionals from the Oncology Center of Hue Central Hospital to organize a fourth cancer screening session in Lam Dot commune as part of the program “Empowering Health and Well-being for Agent Orange-affected Individuals in A Luoi district, Thua Thien Hue province,” sponsored by the Dove Fund.
In total, 219 patients were able to receive a complete examination. Among them, four people were suspected of having cancer and will be referred to Hue Central Hospital for further diagnosis.
A final screening session will be held in August, bringing the total number of diagnosed individuals in A Luoi district to nearly 1,500.
