Within the framework of the Project “Eye-care outreach program for primary and secondary school students in Nam Dong District, Thua Thien Hue Province” sponsored by D.O.V.E Fund, on January 11, 2024, Hearts for Hue collaborated with Long Quang Secondary School to screen and examine refraction issues for 150 students.
Long Quang Secondary School is located in Thuong Long commune, Nam Dong district, Thua Thien Hue province, a remote mountainous area. As about 80 percent of students are ethnic minorities, they have many difficulties in daily life and study.
This project provides the children with a great opportunity to examine their refraction issues. Students with refraction issues will then be given a suitable pair of eyeglasses, enabling them to achieve better academic results.
In the next few weeks, the program will continue visiting other schools in Nam Dong district to organize other examination sessions.
