With the goal of creating jobs and improving sustainable income for disadvantaged women in Thừa Thiên Huế province, Hearts For Hue has implemented a microfinance program funded by VESAF, NFP since 2018. The program has been carried out in Hương Vân Ward (Hương Trà Town) and Quảng Phú Commune (Quảng Điền District) in Thừa Thiên Huế province.
Through loans ranging from 10,000,000 VND to 15,000,000 VND per woman, the program has supported over 600 households in accessing capital to develop their economy and increase their income.
Building on this success, on November 22, 2024, Hearts For Hue in collaboration with the Women’s Union of Quảng Phú Commune, disbursed loans to women in the locality, with each woman receiving 15,000,000 VND. The recipients have utilized the funds to invest in service-based businesses such as conical hat-making, tailoring, and small-scale trading.
Thanks to participation in the microfinance program, many families have secured stable jobs, improved their economic conditions, and gained the financial ability to pay for their children’s education and daily living expenses.
