Under the sponsorship of The DOVE FUND (USA), Hearts For Hue delivered 36 solar lights for 10 kindergartens in Thua Thien Hue Province. Affixed to tall, steel posts on the edge of the school yards, the large solar panels soak sunlight during the day which provides reliable illumination for the schoolhouse, playground and nearby roadways at night. Teachers and students have shown their excitement about the addition of solar lights not only because it highlights the beauty of the school and brings light to the village roads but also because it helps ensure a safer environment for student activities after dark.
