As part of our “promoting hygiene and sanitation in quang nham commune”, Hearts For Hue, supported by The PiCCA (AUS) and in collaboration with Quang Nham People’s Committee, are working together to improve the sanitation conditions in Quang Nham Commune, A Luoi District. The sanitation is a basic human need, but in Quang Nham Commune, so many people still lack basic sanitation and practice open defecation. Thanks to the sponsorship of PiCCA (Aus), the sanitation is step by step improved.
On 29th December 2020, Hearts for Hue staff conducted a trip to visit these six latrines construction. Four of these have completed and put into operation. All of the families are very delighted to have a new latrine. The sincere joy cannot be hidden on Mr Nguyen Van Su and his family’s face. Mr Su showed us a new latrine with a big grin. He said: “after so many years, my family finally has our own hygienic and cleaner latrine”
Currently, the completion of the latrine project in the first stage is on schedule and will soon be able to serve the local people.
