The coronavirus continues to spread worldwide with over 1,016,693 confirmed cases. In Vietnam, the number of cases continues to rise recently. Updated on 3rd April, there are 233 confirmed cases of coronavirus infection in Vietnam. The Ministry of Health, therefore, recommends some prevent coronavirus spread which focusing on wearing facemasks in public places and using hand sanitizer. As a new law issued declared if anyone goes to market/ public areas without a face mask, he/she will be fined 200.000dvn (8.6USD).
Hence, in order to give a hand in combatting the Coronavirus, Hearts For Hue has called a donation of total 71 million to purchase 1,700 hand sanitizes bottles (110ml/bottle) and 5,400 facemasks for marginalized communities in Thua Thien Hue Province.. The program is sponsored by some generous organizations and individuals including the DOVE Fund, Link Vietnam, Mr Neil Hannan, Mr Tobias Sandas, Mr Agustin Moratilla.
From 26th March, Hearts For Hue has implemented several distributions in 8 locations:
– Phu Gia commune, Phu vang district: 300 hand sanitizers and 600 masks
– Quang phuoc, Quang dien district: 200 Hand sanitizers and 400 masks
– Quang Phu, Quang Dien district: 200 hand sanitizers and 400 masks
– Huong xuan, Huong tra : 200 hand sanitizers and 400 masks
– Huong Tra Redcross, Huong Van Commune: 200 hand sanitizers and 1.000 masks
– Vy Da Ward and Hue: 300 hand sanitizers and 1.000 masks
– Thuy Phu Fishing village and Mr Neil’s friends : 100 hand sanitizers and 200 masks
– Huong Nguyen Commune in A Luoi District, Huong Chu Commune and Tu Ha Town: 200 hand sanitizes and 1400 masks
