From November 3 to 5, a team of 24 students and 2 teachers from King George V School in Hong Kong, in collaboration with Hearts for Hue and Wide Eyed Pupils, supported Tu Ha 1 Primary School in building an open library.
Despite challenging rainy conditions, the students demonstrated remarkable dedication by constructing the library, creating a large mural inside, and teaching English to the children at the school. After the construction was completed, the volunteers took time to read books to the children, sharing their first beautiful memories together in the library.
This project not only offered the children at Tu Ha 1 Primary School a space to expand their knowledge and nurture their spirits, but also provided the Hong Kong students with an opportunity to exchange cultural experiences and express their courage, honesty, and empathy.
On behalf of Tu Ha 1 Primary School, Hearts for Hue wishes to extend our sincere appreciation for the backing of KGV and the partnership with Wide Eyed Pupils.
