From February 13 to 24, 2023, Hearts For Hue is very pleased to welcome and work with Mrs. Desiree S. Mostad – a volunteer of Photographers Without Borders. This cooperation is an opportunity for Mrs. Desiree to learn about H4H’s programs and community projects to improve the lives of people in Thua Thien Hue province.
about Photographers Without Borders
Photographers Without Borders (PWB) is a global community of photographers and filmmakers that are protecting the sacred through ethical storytelling. They do this through their Revolutionary Storyteller Grant, Micro-Grants, and other programs, and they inspire new generations of storytellers through Storytelling School, Storytelling for Change Series & Podcast, annual events, and other initiatives and resources. They also firmly uphold the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals and UNDRIP, and prioritize capacity-building for community-based storytellers and community-led initiatives within their work.
Through PWB, Ms. Desiree S. Mostad traveled to Hue, Vietnam to work with Hearts For Hue for 2 weeks. Mrs. Desiree is a professional photographer from Norway who has worked in this field for many years. She is also an artist who is passionate about her work and has deep empathy for many community projects that Hearts For Hue is working on. While in Hue, Desiree will be documenting and creating images that show and tell the stories of disadvantaged families and local communities impacted by the good work of H4H with many projects from water supply/sanitation to microfinance to scholarships for children.

We are very honored with the cooperation with Mrs. Desiree from PWB, we hope that H4H and Mrs. Desiree will have a productive project together. It is a pleasure that this project will contribute to spreading H4H’s active support to the community!
Sincerely,
Hearts For Hue team
