A visit trip to Hue Chicken Coop Program in Huong Tra commune

On February 20th, 2023, Hearts for Hue conducted a visit to the households of Ms. Dung and Ms. Cuc to assess the impact of the Hue Chicken Coop Program that was completed on October 13th, 2022. This program, which was funded by Concordia International School and organized by Hearts For Hue in collaboration with Vietnam Experience, aimed to provide sustainable income for poor families by building large chicken coops.

The project was aimed at helping two families in Hue, namely Ms. Dung and Ms. Cuc, who were in dire need of assistance. Before joining the program, both Ms. Dung and Ms. Cuc struggled to make ends meet. They lived in poverty, with limited access to basic necessities such as food, clean water, and healthcare. Their income was meager, and they had to work long hours in agriculture and manual labor to earn a living. However, through the chicken coop program, their lives have taken a positive turn. Let us now examine the progress by reviewing the photographs below:

Hearts For Hue was pleased to report that the project had been a resounding success. In fact, with the help of the program, Ms. Dung and Ms. Cuc were able to produce high-quality eggs that they sold in the local market. The income they generated from selling their eggs allowed them to improve their living conditions, provide better food for their families, and send their children to school. Now, they have a stable source of income that provide them with financial security and stability. We also reported that Ms. Dung and Ms. Cuc were grateful for the assistance they had received and that their living conditions had improved significantly.

In conclusion, the Hue Chicken Coop program was deemed successful through the collaborative efforts of Hearts for Hue and Vietnam Experience. Also, the program was made possible by the generous donation from the Concordia International School, and the hard work of all teachers and students as volunteers. The program has already made a positive impact on the lives of Ms. Dung and Ms. Cuc, and it is a testament to the impact that collaborative efforts can have on disadvantaged communities. We express our gratitude for your support!

Sincerely,
Hearts For Hue team.
