On July 6th, 2024, about 200 people took part in the third cancer screening session organized by Hearts For Hue, as part of the project “Empowering Health and Well-being for Agent Orange-Affected Individuals in A Luoi district, Thua Thien Hue province”. Sponsored by the Dove Fund and organized since 2024, screening sessions are conducted in cooperation with professionals from the Oncology Center of Hue Central Hospital and the A Luoi District Health Center.
Notably, according to the results of this third session, 12 people are at high risk of having cancer, and they are now advised on the next steps toward appropriate cancer treatment at Hue Central Hospital.
Two more screening sessions are planned to take place in the coming months for several hundred more people in A Luoi district continuing to improve the overall health and well-being of Orange Agent-affected individuals.
