Within the framework of the program “IMPROVEMENT OF THE HANDWASHING STATIONS AND PERSONAL HYGIENE PRACTICES FOR THE PUPILS AT PRIMARY AND SECONDARY SCHOOLS IN QUANG DIEN AND HUONG TRA DISTRICT, THUA THIEN HUE PROVINCE, VIETNAM”, sponsored by D.O.V.E Fund, from September to October, Hearts for Hue has organized the training for students of 7 out of 12 schools in Quang Dien and Huong Tra District.
The training, led by Dr. Dao Nguyen Dieu Trang from Hue University of Medical and Pharmacy with the support of the school medical staffs who took part in the ToT in the early September, is on prevention and control measures for infectious diseases and acute respiratory infections.
Particularly, the students were trained and practiced 6-step handwashing skills in the classroom.
Then, they applied those skills at the handwashing station of the school under the direction of the school medical staffs.
In addition, Hearts for Hue also distributed soaps to the 7 schools, supporting the hygiene practice of the students.
In November, 2023, Hearts for Hue will continue the training at the other 5 schools in Quang Dien and Huong Tra District.
