Within the framework of the cooperation between Hearts for Hue and PiCCA on the project “GOAT RAISING PROJECT FOR FAMILIES AFFECTED BY AGENT ORANGE IN QUANG NHAM COMMUNE, VIETNAM”, on August 2nd, 2023, the first training course was run for 60 AO families to provide a general overview of the project.
On July 2023, Hearts for Hue (H4H) is delighted to sign the partnership agreement with PiCCA organization on the project “GOAT RAISING PROJECT FOR FAMILIES AFFECTED BY AGENT ORANGE IN QUANG NHAM, VIETNAM”. The project, lasting from July 2023 to June 2024, aims to improve the quality of life of families affected by Agent Orange in Quang Nham commune, A Luoi district, Thua Thien Hue province.
The meeting took place successfully with the attendance of Mr. Truong Trong Khanh – the chairman of Hears for Hue, Mr. Ho Van Nguc – the vice-chairman of Quang Nham commune, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Ba – the senior lecturer at Hue University of Agriculture and Forestry, and 60 participants of the project.

The people were actively engaged in the discussion with Mr. Nguyen Xuan Ba on goat selection, goat foods. raising techniques, veterinary issues, goat shelter construction, animal welfare, environmental considerations and risk management. Especially, the training course created a premise on changing people’s awareness on how to raise castles, specifically by building the shelters.
At the end of the training course, Mr. Dinh Van Khuong was elected to be the Leader of the Goat Raising Club and 60 participants also signed the commitment to officially take part in the project.
