Hearts for Hue is very delighted to inform that the DOVE Fund has funded a project for handwashing stations and hygiene training for 3,400 pupils at 12 primary schools in Quang Dien district, Thua Thien Hue province, Vietnam.
Hearts For Hue has been implementing the project with the aim of
- Increase awareness of personal hygiene and Covid19 respond and prevention for pupils and teachers in the schooling environment
- Improve the hygiene facilities for primary schools through handwashing station construction
Currently, there are nine schools that have completed their construction to a high standard and put into the operation. These others three are under construction. Additionally, the DOVE Fund provided handwashing soap to prevent the virus from spreading in both schools. As well as increasing access to soap and water, there is a need for children awareness campaigns to make sure children use them. Therefore, Hearts For Hue will organize training on personal hygiene practice later on.
