A visit trip to Phu Gia Chicken Program funded by The Rotary Foundation

Group II of Phu Gia Chicken sells products with profit

On 6th May 2020, Hearts For Hue staff took a visit trip to several participants under the project  “Improving economic condition for the poor/disabled people near Hue, Vietnam” which is sponsored by The Rotary Foundation.

Most of the beneficiaries of the group 2 reported that the survival rate has reached more than 95%. Hard work pays off! To gain this achievement, they have put their great efforts on taking care of a flock of chicken. For each chicken sold, they were paid in the range of 90,000 to 130,000 VND, and most members had sold 95 chickens. The recipients expressed their overwhelmed with happiness with this positive results.

Mr Nguyen Vinh Tuong  – a beneficiary shared: “ The flock of chicken has brought about 7 million for my family. I have used it to cover daily’s expenses. The remain of profit spent on purchasing new breed of 50 baby – chickens”

Group III is ready to receive baby chickens

All the qualified chicken coops were built in early April 2020. The beneficiaries cannot wait to receive the baby chicks. According to the project plan, the chicken distribution will be implemented on 17th and 20th May 2020. Hearts For Hue also supported households with veterinary service and equipped them with breeding techniques before chicken distribution.
