Project Model: Livelihood support for persons with disabilities
Objective:
To support children with disabilities and their families in difficult circumstances in Hương Vân and Quảng Phú Commune, Thừa Thiên Huế Province, through scholarships and sustainable livelihood development via poultry farming.
Key Activities
- Scholarship Programme
- Beneficiaries: 65 children with disabilities or from families in poverty/near-poverty.
- Grant Value: 2,500,000 VND per child per year, covering tuition, insurance, school supplies, and some cash support.
- Implementation Dates:
- 9 Sept 2024: 30 students in Hương Vân (Primary & Secondary schools)
- 10 Sept 2024: 35 students in Quảng Phú

- Poultry Farming Support
- Beneficiaries: 10 families with disabilities in Quảng Phú Commune.
- Support Package Includes:
- 1 chicken coop per household (12m²)
- 50 chicks, feed, veterinary supplies
- Practical poultry farming training

- Timeline:
- August 2024: Household surveys conducted
- September 2024: Chicken coops constructed
- 4 Oct 2024: Distribution of chicks and materials
- Current Status: 100% of families successfully raising poultry with high survival rates and increased livelihood opportunities
