Providing Newcastle disease vaccines for chicken raising program sponsored by the PiCCA

With the main purpose of ensuring the chicken’s health, Hearts For Hue implemented the regularly chicken’s health check for the beneficiaries under the program “Improve the living quality of people with disabilities through chicken raising program” sponsored by the PiCCA (Aus). The main activity of this session was to provide a Prevent Newcastle Vaccination (second time) to the chickens. The Newcastle disease is common which has a very high mortality rate, which can spread widely on a wide area. Therefore, a group including the lecturers and students from the Department of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary (Hue University of Agriculture and Forestry) assisted the people to get a vaccination to the chickens. The group took a tour to visit some households in the village for a better understanding of the chicken raising practice. This was also a good opportunity for VET students to apply their skills to practice. Hearts For Hue would like to thanks to the Hue University for your assistance to our project.

Hearts For Hue.
