Hearts for Hue have built up a long-lasting partnership with PiCCA (Aus) since 2018. PiCCA (Partners in International Collaborative Community Aid Ltd.) pools donations of money, time and expertise to assist communities overseas work towards greater equity, opportunity, justice and peace.
Hearts for Hue is very delighted to inform that the PiCCA (Aus) has approved the project Improvement of the handwashing stations and personal hygiene practices for the pupils at primary schools with the funding of 24.000 AUD in Phu Vang District, Thua Thien Hue Province. PiCCA was awarded funding for the project from the Phillips Foundation (Aus). Accordingly, the project will construct 10 handwashing stations for 10 primary schools as well as deliver training sessions on personal hygiene practice and preventive behavior in response to the COVID – 19 pandemics for teachers and students.
The aim of the project is:
– To enhance student’s awareness on hygiene practices
– To increase student’s access to the handwashing station
The main activities that will be undertaken:
– Provide 01training of trainer for 20 teachers on how to prevent the spread of infectious disease, especially Covid 19
– Providing 10 trainings on personal hygiene topics for 1.000 students
– Provide financial support to build 10 handwashing stations for 10 primary schools in Phu Vang District
The project will be expected to be implemented in October 2021 and complete in July 2022.
Update of the project progress:
1/ Provide financial support to build 10 handwashing stations for 10 primary schools in Phu Vang District: From 15th October to 9th November,2021, 10 handwashing stations at 10 schools in Phu vang district was built completely and these handwashing stations have been contributing the improvement of personal hygiene and prevention of the Covid19 spread in the schools and communities
