Program Objective: to support people with disability and/or mental illness and their families to improve their livelihoods and raise their standards of living through a progressive level of support.

Step One: Identification

Person with disability and their family are identified by local partner and/or People’s Committee and interviewed by Hearts for Hue.

Step 2A: Disability Support Group

Project participants attend monthly disability support group meetings to build their awareness, knowledge and social support network.

Step 2B: Animal Raising

Project participants receive chickens or pigs as well as animal raising training to enable them to raise their incomes.

Step 3: Animal Shelter

Project participants are supported to build a larger animal shelter enabling them to further expand their raising scale.

Step 4: Microfinance

Project participants are given a microfinance loan and training to enable them to further expand their small business.
