With the aim of improving living conditions and supporting the livelihoods of families in difficult circumstances—particularly those affected by Agent Orange—on April 3, 2025, the Hearts of Hue Foundation collaborated with local authorities from Hong Ha Commune and A Luoi Town to organize a livestock distribution program for local residents.
As part of the initiative, 20 healthy female goats were delivered directly to 20 households identified as impoverished and impacted by Agent Orange. These goats represent not only valuable material support but also a source of hope, enabling recipients to engage in animal husbandry and work towards sustainable household economic development.

The program was generously sponsored by Mr. Neil Hannan, a philanthropist from the United States who has been actively involved in charitable activities in Vietnam for many years, especially in Hue City. Speaking at the handover ceremony, Mr. Hannan expressed his joy in being part of the project and his deep gratitude to the Hearts of Hue Foundation and local authorities for their support and cooperation in facilitating the program.
Representatives from the recipient households expressed their heartfelt appreciation to Mr. Hannan and the wider community for the support. Many shared that they plan to take good care of the goats, with the hope of breeding them in the future—not only to increase household income but also to pass offspring on to other families in need within the community.
This initiative is part of a broader series of charitable efforts spearheaded by Mr. Hannan in partnership with the Hearts of Hue Foundation, working towards the shared goal of “leaving no one behind,” especially in remote and marginalized areas such as A Luoi District.
