From July 2018 to 31st December 2019 Hearts For Hue, with the sponsorship of PICCA (Australia), will implement the project “Improving the living quality of people with disabilities in Vinh Phu Commune through chicken raising”
This project aims that families with one or more members suffering disabilities can improve their living standards by generating income through the raising of chickens. The final goal is to distribute in Vihn Phu Commune 4.500 chickens (21 days old) among 50 families with one or more members suffering disabilities.
As a part of this project, Hearts For Hue in collaboration with Vinh Phu Commune People’s Committee organized on September 20th the first distribution of chickens to families suffering disabilities.
On that date, each of 50 families with one or more members suffering disabilities in Vinh Phu Commune received 40 fully vaccinated chickens, being each of the chickens 21 days old.
All the families expressed their deepest gratitude to Hearts For Hue and PICCA and all them were eager to start this activity
Together with the delivery of chickens the project includes several training sessions for the families. These training sessions cover different areas as chicken raising skills; support for the building of 50 chicken coops; marketing skills; identifying appropriate markets for the sale of chickens and/or eggs; and other activities.
On behalf of the people of Vinh Phu commune, Mr Ho Van Nhat, chairman of the People’s Committee, sincerely thanked to PiCCA and Hearts For Hue for the implementation of this new project that represents a relevant and practical support for the people in Vinh Phu commune.
Hearts for Hue.
