Hearts for Huế Welcomes Students from Penn International Impact Consulting to Study Community and Microfinance Programs

From May 17 to 24, Hearts for Huế had the honor of welcoming a student delegation from the Penn International Impact Consulting (PIIC) program at the University of Pennsylvania (USA) to Hue city, Vietnam. The purpose of their visit was to research and gain a deeper understanding of the Microfinance Program and other community initiatives led by the Hearts for Huế.

The visit was part of a field research initiative that provided international students with the opportunity to explore sustainable community development models in Vietnam. During their time in Huế, the delegation met with the Foundation’s staff, interviewed beneficiary households, and visited project sites to better understand the operations, effectiveness, and social impact of the Microfinance Program — an initiative aimed at providing low-income households with access to small loans to support family-based economic development.

In addition, the students explored other community programs such as hygiene improvement, education support, and local livelihood development — key areas that the Hearts for Huế Foundation has been committed to for many years.

The visit not only offered students valuable real-world learning experiences but also opened up opportunities for long-term collaboration between Hearts for Huế and international educational institutions, all working together toward the shared goal of sustainable and inclusive community development.
