From June 2 to June 3, 2025, Hearts For Hue, in collaboration with the People’s Committee of Phu Gia Commune and Vinh Thai Kindergarten, organized a community support program led by students from Victoria Shanghai Academy (VSA) and coordinated by Wide Eyed Pupils Tour – Travel Company. The delegation, consisting of 20 students and 2 teachers, successfully built a playground for kindergarten children and facilitated a variety of meaningful activities, including English lessons, drawing sessions, and other educational games. The program provided a valuable opportunity for local children to interact with international students, enhance their communication skills, and expand their learning experiences. The newly constructed playground also offers a safe and stimulating space for children to develop their physical abilities and life skills. Additionally, university students from Hue participated in the program as interpreters and group coordinators. This was an excellent opportunity for them to practice English, develop teamwork and leadership skills, and gain hands-on experience outside the classroom.
Victoria Shanghai Academy (VSA) is a private, non-denominational, co-educational day school in Hong Kong. It was founded through the commitment of the School Board, which includes members of the University of Shanghai Alumni Association and the Victoria Educational Organization. Since 2007, VSA has proudly become the first IB World School in Hong Kong to offer all three International Baccalaureate programmes: the Primary Years Programme (PYP), the Middle Years Programme (MYP), and the Diploma Programme (DP). Through these programmes, VSA inspires its students to “Value, Strive and Act.”
This marks the third time that VSA has partnered with the Hearts For Hue Foundation and Wide Eyed Pupils Tour – Travel company to carry out a community support initiative since their first collaboration in 2019.
