Dear Donors, Colleagues, and Friends,

We would like to share with you an overview of what our organization was doing from April to May  2021.  Please take a look at our project highlights below:

Handwashing station for needy children

Recent studies have found that frequent hand washing with clean water and soap will help to reduce the risk of diarrhea by about 47% and by 30% for acute respiratory infections. However, the handwashing system in many schools in Thua Thien Hue province still below the standard and it does not meet the needs of all students and teachers. Understanding the difficulties that many schools have been facing, VESAF, NFP and the DOVE Fund have funded the construction of an appropriate handwashing station to meet the needs of over 5000 students in Thua Thien Hue Province.

Hearts For Hue has been implementing the project with the aim of

  • Increase awareness of personal hygiene and Covid19 respond and prevention for pupils and teachers in the schooling environment
  • Improve the hygiene facilities for primary schools through handwashing station construction

Currently, there are many schools that have completed their construction and put it into operation. See the DOVE Fund’s Project and the VESAF,NFP’s Project
