Ngày mai Scholarships in the way of being an annual tradition

August is the starting point of the new schoolyear. New books, new uniforms, new shoes… and new scholarships too.

During the month of August, a team from Hearts For Hue has distributed the “Ngày mai Scholarship” among 60 children from disadvantaged families in Thua Thien Hue.

60 children from many different locations: Vinh Phu, Vinh Thai, Vinh Ha, Huong van, Xuan Loc and the city of Hue. 60 children studying Primary School, Secondary School and High School. 60 children with different dreams and expectations.

.

In the 2019/2020 school year, we have increased the number of children participating in our Program, 60, and we have increased also the number of sponsors, amounting now up to 40. We expect that these figures will continue to grow as some contributions are still reaching us. We are still on time to increase the figures.

New schoolyear, new Scholarships and yet too many familiar faces. I want to congratulate Hearts For Hue team for all the work carried out during the previous schoolyear, visiting at least one time all families. Great work that has allowed us to know each child and each family, as well as each need and each dream. This month of August even new faces looked pretty familiar to us.

“Ngày mai Scholarships” would like to congratulate everyone at Hearts For Hue, and specially Miss Lan, Miss Vy Nguyen and Miss Hong Do for a great job.

And new challenges too. This year, for the first time in our newly born history we will sponsor a girl who cares for education for special needs. We never thought we were going to do such a thing, but it happened to be, and we have refused to say no. We will need the contribution of at least 4 sponsors to help her and her family in a satisfactory way.

This time we took advantage of the scholarships distribution to give each child a special shirt of our Program. We would like he children to identify with our Program while they also get aware that, besides their parents and family’s members, there are people that cares about them. We would like them to be good students, to help their parents and grandparents at home, to help teachers at school, and most important, we want them to be as happy as possible. We want them to become good friends forever with the other children participating in the Program.

And now is the children’s turn to show us that we were not wrong in choosing them. Parent’s turn to support their children education decisively. And our turn to continue working since these children deserve our efforts.
